If, like me, your evening routine involves a family walk through Allerton Park, located in Monticello, Illinois, you might come across a variety of sculptures such as this one. The Death of the Last Centaur, by French sculptor Emile Antoine Bourdelle, is one of only five in existence and is located in a woodland setting with four trails on each side that extend outwards to form a cross.
